Updatepalooza!

I've been blog-absent a lot. I'm here, I'm reading, but with work so hectic and my laptop at home refusing to work for me, I've been a bit limited. But I'm here and hope to be back on my game soon.

Couple of things for you:
So Long Elle!

Looks as if the closest I'll be getting to law school is watching Legally Blonde the musical. That is if I ever choose to go see it. I had mentioned before that I was going to research law school and I've done just that. I'm not passing on it because I don't think I can; I'm passing on it because I don't want to go through all that at this point in my life. It's a LOT of hard work, incessant reading, and a lot of bullcrap.... and that's just taking the test and applying to law schools. Even after school it's a LOT of work. I could definitely see aspects of the career that I would like, but after interviewing people, reading about the options and giving it a lot of thought, I've decided not to pursue it. But at least I can say I did!

An Awful Waste of Space

Galactic Center of Milky Way Rises over Texas Star Party from William Castleman on Vimeo.

This is from Neatorama. It's a time lapse of the sky over Texas back in April. I'm not one of those fanatics who think we're being abducted by aliens hell-bent on probing us in their ships, but I just have to believe that in this infinite universe there has to be life elsewhere. We may never know, we may not ever be contacted, but they're out there. In Carl Sagan's 'Contact' Jodie Foster sums it up well with some pretty basic logic:

I'll tell you one thing about the universe, though. The universe is a pretty big place. It's bigger than anything anyone has ever dreamed of before. So if it's just us... seems like an awful waste of space. Right?

You've already done health care- no need to abuse yourself further by enduring law school. Although I bet you'd have some kickass TV ads if you became a lawyer.
